Surabaya, August 1, 2024 — Poltekkes Kemenkes Surabaya (Polkesbaya) received an official visit from Management and Science University (MSU) Malaysia on Thursday, August 1, 2024, as part of efforts to strengthen international cooperation. This visit is a follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) that had been previously agreed upon by the two institutions.
The meeting was attended by the Director of Poltekkes Kemenkes Surabaya, Luthfi Rusyadi, SKM, M.Sc, along with Deputy Directors 1 and 2, Head of Academic and General Affairs, as well as Head of the Center for Education Development, Head of the Center for Research and Community Service, and Head of the Center for Quality Assurance. Also present were seven Heads of Departments and Substance Coordinators from Poltekkes Surabaya. From MSU Malaysia, the representative who attended was ChM. Eva Tan Lee Yin, Manager of Global Affairs.
In this meeting, both parties agreed to implement several agendas at the end of 2024 and early 2025. The agenda includes cardiovascular engineering training to improve human resources, benchmarking of nursing program curriculum, collaboration in research and publication, and exchange of students and lecturers.
Cardiovascular Engineering Training is designed to improve the competence of health workers in both institutions, while benchmarking of the curriculum aims to ensure that the nursing programs offered remain relevant and of high quality. Collaboration in research and publication is expected to produce scientific works that are useful for the development of science and professional practice. In addition, the exchange of students and lecturers will broaden academic horizons and international experiences for participants from both parties.
Through these various agendas, Polkesbaya and MSU Malaysia aim to strengthen cooperation in the fields of education and research, as well as ensure effective implementation and positive impacts in the future.
