Poltekkes Kemenkes Surabaya Hosts National Health Crisis Response Competition

Surabaya, September 26, 2024. Poltekkes Kemenkes Surabaya hosted the 2024 National Health Crisis Response Competition, which took place from September 24 to 26. This activity is a collaboration between the Health Crisis Center of the Indonesian Ministry of Health and Poltekkes Kemenkes Surabaya.

The event was officially opened by the Director of Poltekkes Kemenkes Surabaya, Luthfi Rusyadi, SKM, M.Sc, who in his speech emphasized the importance of innovation and collaboration in facing health challenges. "Through this competition, we hope that participants can develop effective solutions to overcome the health crisis in Indonesia," said Luthfi.

This competition was attended by various major universities throughout Indonesia, which brought fresh and innovative ideas in dealing with complex health issues. Participants have the opportunity to present their work in front of a panel of judges consisting of experts in the health sector.

This activity not only serves as a competition, but also as a platform to share knowledge and experiences. With a collaborative spirit, it is hoped that this competition can strengthen networks between institutions and increase preparedness in facing future health crises.

In addition to the competition, participants in the 2024 National Health Crisis Response Competition also have the opportunity to take part in a city tour in Surabaya. This activity aims to introduce participants to the beauty and cultural richness of the city, as well as strengthen relationships between participants.

The city tour which took place on the second day of the event took participants to visit several famous landmarks in Surabaya, including the Suramadu Bridge, the Heroes Monument, and the Surabaya Zoo. With the city tour, it is hoped that participants can not only focus on academic aspects, but can also enjoy the city atmosphere, interact, and build a wider network. This activity further enriches their experience while in Surabaya.

With the end of this competition, it is hoped that innovative solutions will emerge that can be applied in health policies in Indonesia, while also building awareness of the importance of preparation in facing a health crisis.
